APSIA - Associação de Planadores de Santa Iria de Azoia, is an aeromodelling association, the only one in Portugal exclusively dedicated to silent flight (soaring with sailplanes or e-sailplanes). Created on 22^nd October, 1993, with legal registration on April 14^th, 1994, it is dedicated to the flight with R/C sailplanes in general and, in particular, to protect and promote flight on the Sta, Iria da Azóia slope site, as a unique location for slope soaring in Portugal and internationally.  As the only aeromodelling association exclusively dedicated to silent flight, APSIA gathers many  enthusiasts of flight with R/C sailplanes in other locations all around the country, and therefore is a key reference club in Portuguese aeromodelling.

  
APSIA is since 1999 afiliated nr. 48, to the Portuguese Aeromodeling Federation (Federação Portuguesa de Aeromodelismo),
